Affected by the declining demand for cheap consumer products, notebook PC and desktop PC shipments tumbled in 2015, even tablets witnessed its first year-on-year decline since debut; for this reason, vendors should actively develop niche markets to seek new applications for PC systems; large-variety, small-volume production of those emerging applications is challenging existing PC supply chains and production networks.
